“There was a lot new for me in my freshman year: Living far away from my family, studying at a German-speaking university. Even though the assessment year for psychology is considered to be especially hard and I didn’t yet have a great grasp of German, I was able to pass my exams thanks to my passion for the subject and good study strategies. When I’m stressed, I make a conscious attempt to set my fears and nervousness aside. This allows me to focus on what’s important and to work on projects that I find interesting, such as my Master’s thesis on entrepreneurship or the UZH Innovators Camp. I believe that you can overcome your fears by trusting yourself – here it’s important to be passionate.”
